To blog or not to blog?
April 5th, 2007 by Bill
Good grief. It’s already April. Where’ve I been?
Well, as the photo on the right suggests, I’ve been feeding squirrels. (Not really, actually. But a friend put the corn out in the backyard to see what the squirrels would do. Being logical creatures, they ate it.)
I’ve been up to several things: work, education, new house and fun.
As far as education goes, I’m self-teaching. I’m learning about Dreamweaver 8 (web design software) and video – the camera and iMovie on my Mac. I’m using two several rather thick books – The Missing Manual texts (So that would be Dreamweaver 8: The Missing Manual and iMovie 6 & iDVD: The Missing Manual.)
Besides reading I’ve been learning by trial and error. But I make progress. At least some.
Of course I also have a new house – well, new to me. It’s about 50 years old (but solid!). As the snows have receded I’ve been seeing more and more of the yard I’m going to have to tackle soon. (I also have some reno stuff coming up – I’m replacing all the windows and putting in a new kitchen.)
The upshot is that I haven’t been doing much blogging because there hasn’t been time. Or, if there was time, there were no ideas. Or, if there was time and there were ideas, I’ve been diddling with Dreamweaver and the video camera and iMovie instead of blogging.
And of course, I have been working. Really!
(This post was originally titled “This and that and the other thing” but I opted for the even less creative title up top. Both titles were as creative as urban sprawl.)

Hey, Bill, any one of those activities constitutes an attention-absorbing, non-blogging existence, so I hope you’re guilt-free over the infrequent postings. But it was fun to check in and see what you’ve been up to. Congrats on the new house; you look good in it.
