A period of transition
November 10th, 2006 by Bill
I think that was the name (“A period of transition”) of someone’s album - Van Morrison? Not sure, but it seemed an applicable headline for a post - almost any post I write these days, be it here or one of my other blogs.
I’m now living in Fredericton, New Brunswick. However, I use that living reference rather broadly. I’m in a motel until a house is found, purchased, moved into. It’s actually quite nice, or was until today when I couldn’t an Internet connection all morning. I was hoping to do some work while doing laundry and dishes etc. But with no connection I just did the laundry & dishes. And got vary bored very fast. So at 12:30 I finally packed up and walked towards Fredericton’s downtown.
Holy shit! After an hour and twenty minutes I had to stop to pee (again!) and eat lunch – and I still wasn’t downtown. I think Liz figured the distance the other day at 10 km, downtown to motel. By car, no problem. By bike, easy. Even by foot not a big deal if you have loads of time. But when it’s unexpected … yikes!
Anyway … today’s transition was from boredom to exhaustion and right now I’d like to go to sleep.
Was there a point to this post? Now I’ve lost track …

Oops … should have proofed that post first. A few typos in it. Oh well, I was tired.
