Writelife - now with sound!

Yes, I went and added Talkr to this blog. (See the icon and link at the bottom of each post.) And because there is a Wordpress plug-in available, it wasn’t that difficult.
I did it mainly as an experiment. I wanted to hear what it would sound like. My first reaction is this: it works best with simple words and simple sentences. It gets kinda wiggly with polysyllabic words and convoluted sentences.
Personally, I rarely if ever use podcasts. However, I do see one advantage. It makes my posts easier (I think) for someone with a visual impairment. A small advantage, perhaps. It’s not like someone visually impaired is missing out on great pearls of wisdom by not being able to read my blog. And if someone already has recognition technology on their computer to make the Internet accessible to them, this may be a bit redundant.
But it’s something.
