We're about to pass into what is officially fall though in this part of the world it has felt like autumn for some time now. Summer made a very early and hasty retreat this year.
Personally, I find this a very contradictory season.
On the one hand, work seems to move into an overdrive mode. Maybe that's simply perception. Most people are back from holidays, school is in session and it just seems as if there are a lot more people around, all of them doing a lot more rushing.
It feels more hectic and I think it is.
At the same time, longer and cooler days make me more sluggish. Just as the world appears more wound up and busy, my energy goes the opposite way during the fall. It's almost as if there were some natural law that says the more the world goes one way, so will I go in the opposite direction.
It sort of makes me feel like a bit of technology that is dependent on solar energy in order to operate. I was designed with solar panels. I require the sun to function.
This oddball law affects my blogging. I posted on Saturday. While doing so, I noticed how long it had been since I had posted previously. It was something like 10 days! I had no idea it had been so long.
I don't believe in posting for its own sake. There are too many blogs out there with irrelevant posts that are just Internet clutter. At the same time, I think a blog needs a bit more frequency in its posts than 10 day gaps would suggest. So I'm going to make an effort at posting without great holes like that. Let's just hope I can find something worth writing about.
