Footers and legitimacy

Christopher Knight has some helpful tips in his item called How to Properly Format Your Ezine Footer. You’ll notice one of his tips has to do with placing the Copyright in the footer. This is not to protect the material (I’m not sure it does). This is for the confidence it can help to build. It suggests the material’s legitimacy. Some elements (like this) while appearing to be about one thing are actually of value for something else. Their function is less obvious yet equally important.
